The byACRE Size Guide

How to Decide: Measure Your Way to the Perfect Fit!

To ensure your byACRE rollator truly enhances your mobility, we recommend focusing on three key measurements.

1. Handle Height:

The handle height is adjustable on all byACRE models, but the range differs. Getting this right is crucial for maintaining an upright posture and avoiding hunching.

  • How to Measure: Stand upright in your typical walking shoes. Let your arms hang loosely at your sides. Measure the height from the floor up to your wrist.
  • Expert Tip: Since your arms will naturally angle forward slightly when gripping the handles, add one or two centimeters (about 0.5-0.8 inches) to your wrist height measurement for the ideal handle height.
  • Why it's Important: The correct handle height enables you to walk upright and comfortably, rather than being hunched over.

Here are the handle height ranges for each model:

  • Carbon Ultralight Compact: 30.7″ - 35.4″
  • Carbon Ultralight Regular: 31.5″ - 37.4″
  • Carbon Ultralight Wide: 31.5″ - 37.4″
  • Carbon Overland: 32.7″ - 37.8″
  • Nordic Pioneer: 33.0″ - 37.0″

2. Seat Height

The seat height on byACRE rollators is fixed, but it varies between models. Choosing the right height ensures you can comfortably sit down and stand up.

  • How to Test: Find a chair at home with a height similar to our rollators (see dimensions below). You can add books or pillows to adjust its height. Try sitting down and getting up repeatedly to see if you'd be comfortable with that height for frequent rests.
  • Consideration: If you plan to use the seat frequently, comfort is paramount. If only for occasional, brief rests, a slightly less ideal fit might be acceptable.

Here are the seat heights for each model:

    • Carbon Ultralight Compact: 22.4″
    • Carbon Ultralight Regular: 24.0″
    • Carbon Ultralight Wide: 24.0″
    • Carbon Overland: 24.4″
    • Nordic Pioneer: 24.2″

3. Hip Width:

For comfortable and easy use of the seat, your hip width should ideally be less than the width between the rollator handles.

  • How to Measure: Measure the widest part of your hips while seated or standing.
  • Consideration: Account for any bulky clothing, especially winter coats, which might add extra width around your waist. While you can still use a rollator if the seat is a bit narrow, it might require more effort to get in and out.
